Awards Season 2018: Who Won What?
Whether you’re here because you GENUINELY care about who won what, for film recommendations, or simply out of curiosity, it doesn’t matter. It’s an honour just to be here. Thank you… you like our blog, you really like our blog!
Golden Globe Winners
Best Drama Motion Picture
Who won?
Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri
Who’s involved?
Directed by Martin McDonagh (the genius behind In Bruges and Seven Psychopaths) with Frances McDormand and Sam Rockwell – who kinda came outta nowhere and stole the show when he won best supporting actor. Not that we’re complaining.
What happens?
What DOESN’T happen?
#ProtestsDOMakeADifference! Mildred Hayes is grieving the cruel murder of her teenage daughter, and she’s pretty pissed off at the fact that no arrests have been made. Get your sh*t together, Chief Willoughby! If you’re not gonna do anything, she will. It’s an emotional ride that you won’t want to get off of.

Lady Bird
Who’s involved?
Lady Bird is directed by the incredible Greta Gerwig, and stars Saoirse Ronan, Lucas Hedges, and Call Me by Your Name’s Timothée Chalamet… we’re pretty sure that should be convincing enough.
What happens?
Lady Bird (it’s her given name, given by herself, to herself) is super fed up of Sacramento… like, how boring can one place be? If the town won’t fix itself up and fill itself with culture, diversity, and adventure, then she’ll go and find it elsewhere.

What happens?
In a family where music is forbidden (we know, right? What did they do when they showered?) Miguel is willing to do whatever it takes to break free and pursue a career in music. Including stealing from the dead, getting cursed, and teaming up with a skeleton.
