Films We’re Looking Forward to in 2018

2017 was a year of amaaazing films, but we’re even more excited for 2018! Now that we’re in the fresh start of January, here’s what were most looking forward to in the next 12 months.

The Incredibles 2

What We’re Looking Forward To:

No doubt this one will be just as Incredible. We’ve missed our favorite superhero family and, mostly, Edna Mode.

Oceans 8

What We’re Looking Forward To:

The cast lineup is damn PHENOMENAL and it’s all lead by women #GIRLPOWER. Here’s the top 8: Rihanna, Sandra Bullock, Cate Blanchett, Anne Hathaway, Helena Bonham Carter, Sarah Paulson, Mindy Kaling and Awkwafina.

Hellboy

What We’re Looking Forward To:

We all know that David Harbour SLAYED in Stranger Things, so we are oh-so-ready for his performance in Hellboy. From pictures alone, the character looks freaking awesome!

Mary Poppins Returns

What We’re Looking Forward To:

Well… it’s not Julie Andrews, but that’s no reason not to have high hopes for the Disney sequel. Plus, Dick Van Dyke is set to star in the film, so all is well.

Bohemian Rhapsody

What We’re Looking Forward To:

A film about Queen star Freddie Mercury? We’re on board. We know the music in that film will be amaaazing too. Lastly, have you seen the pictures of Rami Malek in costume?! #Twinning.

Soldado

What We’re Looking Forward To:

If you loved Sicario as much as we did, you’re probably super stoked for this film because it’s the sequel! Featuring your faves from the first – Benicio del Toro and Josh Brolin, of course. Can’t. Wait.

Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom

What We’re Looking Forward To:

Chris Pratt is killin’ it with the blockbusters! If you’re starting to come down from your ‘Guardians of the Galaxy 2’ high, don’t worry, because JW2 (Jurassic World 2) is a’comin’.

Thoroughbreds

What We’re Looking Forward To:

This just looks like one big YES of a film. Featuring Anya Taylor-Joy of ‘Split’ and Olivia Cooke (Bates Motel, anyone?), this thriller drama is sure to keep us at the edge of our seats.

Ready Player One

What We’re Looking Forward To:

Let’s just look behind the camera at names for a second. Steven Spielberg? Check. John Williams? Check. Alan Silvestri? Check! And also features Olivia Cook (scroll up to see her), which means she’ll definitely be the breakout star for 2018.

The Predator

What We’re Looking Forward To:

Yaaas, a sequel to the infamous Predator series. We got Alien Covenant this year, The Predator for 2018, so perhaps a resurrection of Alien v Predator in 2019? We’ll see.

Hotel Transylvania 3

What We’re Looking Forward To:

We’re ready to sink our teeth into this one (pun intended). Hotel Transylvania 2 was killer (another pun), so we definitely have high hopes for 3.

Vlad (Mel Brooks), Murray the Mummy (Keegan-Michael Key), Invisible Man (David Spade), Dracula (Adam Sandler), Mavis (Selena Gomez), Frank (Kevin James) and Eunice (Fran Drescher) in Columbia Pictures and Sony Pictures Animation's HOTEL TRANSYLVANIA 3: SUMMER VACATION.

The Nun

What We’re Looking Forward To:

Okay so remember that creepy AF Nun in ‘The Conjuring 2’? Or if you didn’t see it…remember that creepy AF Nun in the posters for ‘The Conjuring 2’? Okay well this film is about HER, and we’re terrified (but still going to watch it). It’s just like the Annabelle movies, which also spawned from “The Conjuring”! Clearly “The Conjuring” series summons up some..umm..memorable characters.
