Roofstock: A Festival Weekender: Gutted your favourite festival on a farm is off this year? Fear not, mud-wrestling music lovers – Roofstock is here to fill that gaping void – without the need for backpacks, warm wine boxes and tent pitching. From 25th – 27th June Rooftop Film Club will herald the start of festival season from its sky-high cinema in Peckham; transforming its rooftop into an oasis of festival fun for Roofstock: Festival Weekender.
20 metres above mud level, the Bussey Building will be awash with festival flags, bunting, rainbow streamers and fairy lights while roving glitter make-up artists will be on tap to razzle-dazzle you away from any festival FOMO. So dust off the sequinned playsuit, grab the cowboy hat, slip into the British Festival standard-issue wellies (the ponchos are on us if it rains) and revel in a rooftop festival where a flushable toilet is a few steps away, ice-cold craft cocktails (with special festival editions added to the menu) and freshly poured draft beer are on tap… and where we promise you won’t lose your mates.
